2013 SAA Volunteer of the Year - Ann Hayden
Ann is described by Father Rick as someone who is "always willing to help at any time of need with anything."
At St. Peter's, Ann has been a lector and communion distributor for over 40 years. She has been a member of the Legion of Mary and Junior Legion of Mary,
and a member of the Prayer and Evangelization group for over 35 years. Ann has taught religious education to students for over 35 years.
She has been on the Bereavement Committee providing help a funerals for over 20 years.
Ann has worked with the St. Vincent de Paul Society helping needy families in the area for the past nine years. She is also involved with the Paryer and Worship Liturgy Committee
organizing youth to be involved in Masses, the Prayer Line contacting people to pray for the sick and those in crisis sitations,
and an annual coat drive and school supplies drive for disadvantaged youth, both locally and in the ineer city.
Ann recently retired after working 40+ years with at-risk students in Milwaukee Public Schools. Her philosophy: "Do as much as you can while you are on Earth."
